We close the season with Katie Kitamura’s Audition, coming together at Minoa Pera on May 24, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.

Who are we when we perform for the people closest to us? Katie Kitamura’s Booker-shortlisted novel is an elegant, unnerving puzzle about intimacy, identity, and the stories we choose to believe.

About Minoa Book Club:

Some books stay with us long after we turn the final page. And some become even richer when we talk about them together.

This season, we’ll meet once a month on Monday evenings (7:00–8:30 PM) at Minoa Pera to read, think, question, disagree, discover, and simply enjoy talking about good books.

Our reading list takes us across countries, cultures, and very different ways of telling a story: from letters that reveal the hidden shape of a life to love and loneliness; from artificial intelligence and what it means to be human to the complexities of motherhood; from art under dictatorship to witch trials, martyrdom, identity, and the mysteries of performance.

You don’t need to be a literary expert. Bring the book, your curiosity, your questions, and perhaps a passage you loved, or hated. The best conversations often begin when we don’t all read the same book in quite the same way.

Minoa Book Club is hosted by Dr. F. Zeynep Bilge. The event is held in English.

Tea and water will be served during the session and are included in the session price.
